An Opportunity of an Obedient Person

Hi to all story reader, just want to share this story which has taught me so much of being obedient child way back to my childhood days. I hope this can help you realize even in a simple way. I know were not a kid anymore but we should obey to our parents for our own good.
This story was written the book authored by Josefina V. Suarez,Ed.D. entitled Little Boy Lost.

Tom-tom is a brave boy. He is not easily discouraged. He is not afraid of the dark. He does not fear ghosts. Most of all, he is a very daring boy. He does things that are sometimes not good for him. For example, he is only eight years old but he can he can go to Manila from his house in Makati alone despite his parents’ warning.
His parent went to Mindoro with some friends for a hunting spree one summer. Tom-tom being the only child had to go along with his parents. But before packing up the pieces of luggage containing their clothes and other things, Tom’s mother already warned Tom-tom that he should not be trying all sorts of escapades while there. There’s so much danger in the forest of Mindoro and snake abound in the area. He should tag along closely as he might get lost. Tom-tom promised to obey.
Mindoro is a wholesome place for hunting. Fish also abound in the lakes. It is certainly a fine spot for hunting and fishing.
As the group strode in the wilderness, they all became fascinated by all the things they saw. For a moment they forgot about Tom-tom who by now had gone on his own. He followed a beautiful butterfly and tried to catch it with net. He forgot about the warning of his mother that he must keep close to them. Tom-tom had been lost. He did not know how to find his way back. And his companions did not know where to look for him.
The night started to cover the forest. Tom-tom was nervous. He was so scared. He feared the snakes. He feared all the animals in the forest. He feared the night. He had been good. He wished he had obeyed his parents. He slept late with such fear in his heart and tears in his eyes.
Tom-tom was awakened by urgent footsteps. His parents found him sleeping near the bushes. And he was so happy to have been found.
From that time on, Tom-tom became the most obedient boy.
This story teaches us the importance of being obedient. In our situation, we should obey rules and regulation, being obedient is self-discipline. There is a better opportunity ahead for an obedient man. So, we should keep this to become a better person.
