A company’s strength is built on the quality of its employees. As such, HR is playing an increasingly important role in businesses today. The central concern is to recruit the right candidate for the right job.HR professionals have responsibility for recruiting and retraining talented employees, plus everything else in between. As soon as employee enters an organization, everything from signing their contract to paying their wages and catering for their training needs is facilitated by the HR function.
Different Methods of HRR:
1. JOB POSTING
- Internal recruitment process is accomplished. Every time a position is available, it is posted in the company bulletin board for the information of all interested parties. The qualified employees are given preference for promotion.
2. THE WORD-OF-MOUTH
- Effective in local situation and of the least expensive recruitment systems. The department head talks with other employees and then it spreads out to friends and families.
3. ADVERTISING MEDIA
- Advertising through the media, like newspaper, magazines, radio or television.
4. WALK INS AND UNSOLICITED APPLICANTS
- Even though there’s no vacant position in a company the applicant sent letters or resumes to the company if he can be hired.
5. CAMPUS OR UNIVERSITY RECRUITMENT
- Recent graduates are considered highly desirable for companies to select, groom and develop recruits from top schools in the country.
6. JOB FAIR AND OPEN HOUSE
- The company gathers and interview several applicants over a period of one or two days in some specified fields. Brief interviews are conducted during the job fair. Applicants submit resumes and bio-data for immediate reference.
7. GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
- They screen and refer man applicants usually for manual or unskilled position. Some local government units have their placement offices.
8. RADIO AND TELEVISION
- The coverage of the advertisement is a great magnitude. Radio and television are used as a medium for manpower. More qualified applicants can be reached and even tempt others who are not actually looking for jobs.
9. THE INTERNET
- The internet could be another source of employment opportunities. Company profiles and job placements could come into the internet. It is easy and handedly specially in today’s generation.
